1.
1. I wander through the still of night, When solitude is ev'rywhere-- Alone, beneath the starry light, And yet I know that God is there. I kneel upon the grass and pray; An answer comes without a voice. It takes my burden all away And makes my aching heart rejoice. 2. When I am filled with strong desire And ask a boon of him, I see No miracle of living fire, But what I ask flows into me. And when the tempest rages high I feel no arm around me thrust, But ev'ry storm goes rolling by When I repose in him my trust. 3. It matters not what may befall, What threat'ning hand hangs over me; He is my rampart through it all, My refuge from mine enemy. Come unto him all ye depressed, Ye erring souls whose eyes are dim, Ye weary ones who long for rest. Come unto him! Come unto him!
2.
1. Father, cheer our souls tonight; Lift our burdens, make them light. Let thine all-pervading love Shine upon us from above. 2. Calm the surges of the soul; Bid the dark waves backward roll. Let us all thy mercies feel Thru the pow'r thou dost reveal. 3. Bless our loved ones far away; Grant them health and peace, we pray. In their hearts let holy light Beam to guide their steps aright. 4. Let implicit faith and trust Help us know thy ways are just. May thine ever-tender love Lead our hearts to thee above.
3.
1. Lean on my ample arm, O thou depressed! And I will bid the storm Cease in thy breast. Whate'er thy lot may be On life's complaining sea, If thou wilt come to me, Thou shalt have rest. If thou wilt come to me, Thou shalt have rest. 2. Lift up thy tearful eyes, Sad heart, to me; I am the sacrifice Offered for thee. In me thy pain shall cease, In me is thy release, In me thou shalt have peace Eternally. In me thou shalt have peace Eternally.
4.
1. With all the pow'r of heart and tongue, I'll praise my Maker in my song. Angels shall hear the notes I'll raise, Approve the song, and join the praise. 2. I'll sing thy truth and mercy, Lord; I'll sing the wonders of thy word. Not all thy works and names below So much thy pow'r and glory show. 3. Amidst a thousand snares I stand, Upheld and guided by thy hand. Thy words my fainting soul revive And keep my dying faith alive.
5.
1. Father in Heaven, in thy love abounding, Hear these thy children thru the world resounding, Loud in thy praises. Thanks for peace abiding, Ever abiding. 2. Filled be our hearts with peace beyond comparing, Peace in thy world, and joy to hearts despairing. Firm is our trust in thee for peace enduring, Ever enduring. 3. God of our fathers, strengthen ev'ry nation In thy great peace, where only is salvation. So may the world its future spread before thee, Thus to adore thee.
6.
1. Now the day is over; Night is drawing nigh; Shadows of the evening Steal across the sky. 2. Jesus, give the weary Calm and sweet repose; With thy tend'rest blessing May our eyelids close.

about

It all started as a 15-minute lunch break at the MTC. Sister Simmons and I savored every second we had at the piano together with the Hymn book and were flipping through the pages singing songs. We stumbled upon Hymn #114, "Come Unto Him", and were instantly in love with the lyrics. How come we'd never heard this hymn before? Each of us being songwriters, we composed our own original, quick arrangement just for fun, recorded it on our cameras to listen to later, and went on with the rest of our day.

Little did we know we'd keep coming back to it over and over again in the mission field as a source and outlet of peace and comfort. We shared it with our mission hoping it would do the same for others. It soon became a hobby for both of us finding less well-known songs throughout Hymn book and give our own spin to the melodies through our God-given talent and testimonies.

This, by far, has been my favorite project I've ever worked on. Many thanks to my loving parents and siblings who have always supported me, encouraging teachers and directors, friends, inspired Hymnal lyricists, and all the talented souls who have helped this come together - Bethany, Jake, Stephen, Keley, Camille, Corbin, and the mixing, mastering, and production master behind it all, Nate! I can't thank you all enough. You've made all my hymn dreams come true. "Glory be to the Father." I've felt so grateful and humbled through this process as I've reflected on a loving Heavenly Father who gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, so that we might have every hope and enjoy every good blessing eternity has to offer. Come unto Him.
